The house
The Canopy Residence stands on stilts at treetop height in the hacienda's dry forest, a long timber pavilion wrapped in deep verandas, with howler monkeys for an alarm clock and the Pacific visible through the crowns.
Two suites bookend a great open living room that has no walls at all for eight months of the year. A suspended walkway leads to a private canopy deck with a plunge pool and the best sunset seat on the peninsula.
