The house
The Alpine Loft occupies the top floor of the Engadin lodge — a vaulted space of two-hundred-year-old larch beams, felt, stone and glass, with the lake six hundred metres below the window wall.
It is built for deep winter and high summer alike: a wood-burning stove at the centre, a private fire sauna on the balcony, and a reading gallery under the roof beam with the best light in the valley.
