Engadin Valley
High-altitude clarity in the oldest light in Europe
Graubünden AlpsAlpine · crisp summers, deep winters
The place
The Engadin is a high valley of larch forest and glacial lakes, 1,800 metres above sea level. The light here is famously precise — Segantini painted it, Nietzsche wrote beneath it — and the thin air sharpens everything: sleep, appetite, thought.
Our lodge stands alone above Sils, timber and stone, with a cold lake below and silence in every direction. This is where SOMA's cognitive and cold-exposure work reaches its fullest expression.
